Hello & Welcome to Una!
I've been stitching up small runs of clothing and accessories since 2007. After working for several years at local clothing companies, I decided it was time to strike out on my own. My primary goal has always been to use good quality materials from good people. The majority of the fabrics are either organic, sustainable fibers, of European origins, or leftover stock that's given a second chance. The design philosophy is to create pieces that are feminine, flattering, timeless, and distinct.
I like the idea of community and feeling connected... you know, the whole "out of many, we are one" sort of thing. It's both a pleasure and a privilege to work with the amazing ladies behind each of the boutiques that I stock. It's even better when I have a chance to work with my customers face to face. You know who you are: the writers, chefs, professors, poets, eco-philosophers, musicians, social activists, oceanographers, dreamers.... a seriously cool bunch of ladies. They are the reason that I've gotten this far, and for that I am eternally grateful.
I would not be able to do what I do, without the solid support of a very small and somewhat seasonal team. From the photographer, Cindy Apple, to my right hand, Kate, we are consistently working hard, out of a genuine passion to make goods that last, and minimize the impact on our beautiful and only planet. When stuff lasts, you need less of it, right?
I'm always open to comments, whether positive, constructive, or fanciful (my favorite), so please feel free to drop a note.
Thank you for stopping by!
